The year was...I'm not sure honestly. They're 30 and it was 8th grade. You do the math. Don was a trumpet wizard, while Laura dazzled the crowd with her flute. They would have started a jazz band, but they didn't have the connections back then. The only important part of this year, was it was the year they first met. Became friends? No. Met? Yes.

Fast forward to freshman year at the ole reliable, Mckinney High School. During this year, Don had the greatest ten days of his life, when he asked Laura to date him. Did he mess up and dump her? Yes, but nobody is perfect. While they did remain friends after that traumatic break up, Don would move to a Frisco High School the next year. Although they didn't go to the same school for very long, they always found a way to keep in touch with each other.

They remained in contact while going to separate colleges. This is where the feels got reals. You know? That young dumb love. However, timing was never on their side. When Don was single, Laura was not. When Laura was single...Don was not. That all changed in 2017.

Laura and Don decided to finally give it a shot and began dating on November 15th, 2017. In 2021, they bought their first home together with their beautiful fur baby, Daisy.

On September 25, 2021 Don made what would be the dumbest decision of his life, and put a ring on it. He even had Daisy in on the proposal. She was wearing a little bandana that said "Will you marry my Dad?". Laura cried a lot, so did Don. Lots of tears. Lots of love in that room. She said yes, DUH!
